One of 5MBS FM's most entertaining programs, Charivari, can be heard on Saturday afternoons, between 2 and 5pm.
While 'Charivari', a French term dating from the middle-ages, has been described as a 'wild tumult and uproar, produced by the beating of pans, kettles and dishes, mingled with whistling, bawling, groans and hisses' and organised by those objecting to second marriages or marriages of unequal match, that is not what you'll hear when you listen to our program. No, our Charivari presenters would be the last to create aural disturbances of this kind, for whatever reason. What you will hear, however, is often a light hearted and unexpected combination of musical genres with a dash or two of comedy, nostalgia and other surprise ingredients. So, if you're not already hooked on Charivari, tune in at 2pm every Saturday, straight after Jazz Lunch.
